This is a complete walkthrough for a brandnew subscription from scratch in Magento
Example: Norway launches the Man box
1. The Offer
In Magento, go to Catalog > Manage Products. On this view, click on >+ Add Product<
choose values like on the picture below
In the >General< tab, insert name and description as shown below.
Article ID represents the SKU.
Please see SKU naming convention HowTo
Status needs to be Enabled in order to sell this offer on the website.
On the prices tab, configure the price of this offer as well as the tax class.
Here you may also configure custom glossydot price.
On the Images tab, upload the pictures that should be displayed for the offer.
Do not forget to choose the radio buttons for what view the picture should be used.
In the offer options, tell the system the way how this subscription works.
See example below:
on the left, how it works for a recurring subscription (single payment for each box)
on the right, how it would look for a yearly subscription. (prepaid amount for a full year)
On the Inventory tab, disable stock management for the offer, since we will manage the stock per box. (makes more sense for this scenario)
Last step:
Inform Lilli Bombei (lilli.bombei@glossybox.com) with Business-Intelligence-Team (bi-team@glossybox.com) in CC that:
there is a new Offer with needs to be inside of the chargerun.
2. The box
In Magento, go to Catalog > Manage Products. On this view, click on >+ Add Product<
choose values like on the picture below
In the >General< tab, insert name and description as shown below.

Status needs to be Enabled in order to sell this offer on the website.
Though in this scenario the price of the box is irrelevant (because we are not selling boxes, but subscriptions)
the price is a mandatory field. Just set the regular box price on the price tab.
On the Images tab, upload the pictures that should be displayed for the offer.
Do not forget to choose the radio buttons for what view the picture should be used.
On the box options tab, configure the month and year the box belongs to.
Also here its mandatory to configure delivery date and avilable until date.
This can still be changed later on again.
On the Inventory tab, now set the initial stock of the box in 'Qty'
Magento will also set 'Original Qty' depending on the first value you set for Qty.
This will later be used to send out emails, if the stock is low.
Set 'Stock Availability' to In Stock in order to enable this box for sale.
On the Associated Offers tab, connect the new box to the offers it will be associated with.
Do not forget to save your box. :)
