Facebook Widgets are used most frequently on Brand Pages (How to Create a Brand / Brand Page) and Product Pages (How to Create an Item (Product) Page).

Follow these instructions to see how a Widget is created and how to connect it to a Brand or Product Page so that it appears on the Brand or Product Page. 


Steps:


1. Go to CMS àWidgets. 


2. Click on "Add New Widget Instance". 


3. Select "Facebook Widget" as the Type and "beautybox_v3 / [CountryCode]" as the Design / Package Theme. Then click on "Continue". 

Frontend Properties

1. Set Widget Instance Title to whatever you want (it's used only internally, but choose a name that explains the video). 

2. Set the order in which the Widget will appear by typing in a number in Sort Order (1 = first Widget, 2 = second Widget, etc.)


Under the Layout Updates section, you can set where the Widget will appear. 

1. From the Display On drop-down menu:

    a. Select "Simple Product" for Product Pages. 

    b. Select "All / Specified Brands" for Brand Pages. 

2. 

a. If you are adding the Widget to a Brand Page, check the "Specific Brands" option from the Brands area. Then choose the Brand you would like the Widget to be visible on. 

b. If you are adding the Widget to a Product Page, check the "Specific Products" option from the Products area. Then choose the Product you would like the Widget to be visible on. 


3. Select how you would like the Widget to appear on the page from the Block Reference drop-down menu. 


Once this is completed, the Widget will be able to show up on the selected Brand or Product Page. 


Widget Options

1. Type the title of the Facebook page in the Headline of facebook widget that will be viewed on the page. Otherwise, if left blank, the default title will be 'facebook'. 

2. Paste the Facebook URL of the Widget in the Activity URL section. 

3. If you want the 'like box' to be visible, paste its URL in the Like URL section.

4. If you want profile photos to appear in the 'like box', select "Yes" from the Show Faces drop-down menu. 

5. If you want the 'find us at facebook' bar to be visible on the top of the Widget, select "Yes" from the Show Header drop-down menu.

 

Click on the Save button in the top-right corner.
